Chirpy Plus Code of Conduct
Welcome to Chirpy Plus!
Please take a moment to read this code of conduct, which outlines how we expect all Chirpy Members to use Chirpy Plus. We have put these rules in place to ensure that everyone has a positive experience when using our services.
Chirpy’s Code of Conduct
As a Chirpy member, we expect you to be kind, considerate, and respectful towards other members, and refrain from doing anything that might make them feel uncomfortable.
- Be aware that Chirpy is strictly a friendship-building community, not a dating site. If you're interested in companionship or dating please use Chirpy Romance.
- Please also be aware that, in any group, there will be a mixture of personalities and opinions. At CatchUps and online, attempt to keep things harmonious at all times. Verbal abuse or aggressive behaviour will not be tolerated.
- Avoid discussing religion, politics or vaccinations, as these topics are deeply personal for many people and often lead to disagreements.
- Respond to genuine messages, even if it’s just to say “no thanks”.
- Respect the wishes of members who do not want to correspond with you.
- Keep all your initial conversations with other members within the Chirpy platform.
- If you become aware of someone behaving inappropriately, please report them to support@chirpyplus.com so that we can sort it out as soon as possible.
- RSVP if you want to attend a CatchUp or event to make it easier for our hardworking hosts to organise.
- Do not spam members with messages requesting their contact information.
- If you have any issues with your Chirpy membership, please discuss these directly with our support team and refrain from spreading negativity or making defamatory comments about Chirpy to other members or prospective members.
- The member agrees that in no event, and at no time during their Membership Term or at any time thereafter, shall they disparage, denigrate, slander, libel or otherwise defame the businesses of TSC Investment Group Pty Ltd T/A Chirpy Plus, it’s services, assets, or employees, personnel, agents, or representatives.
As a friendship community, we provide several ways for you to interact with other members online, such as Chirpy Messages and Chirpy Chit-Chat. These are safe areas that Chirpy support staff can review if the need arises. Chirpy’s messaging and chat services are not to be used for any of the following:
- Unsolicited distribution of your phone number.
- Asking for the personal contact details of someone with whom you have not yet formed an in-person friendship or exchanged regular Chirpy messages.
- Setting up your own private event (you must do this through Chirpy Social).
- Inviting members to your house.
- Spamming single members or groups of members with inappropriate messages.
- Sharing other members’ personal information.
- Selling products or services.
- Chain letters, multi-level marketing, or pyramid schemes.
- Unacceptable message content including abuse, harassment, bullying, misinformation, offensive language, racism, sexism, derogatory comments concerning sexual orientation or religion, discussion of religion or politics, content that is unlawful or illegal, trolling, or links to objectionable material.
By using Chirpy, you indicate your acceptance of this code of conduct. If you breach the code, we may cancel your membership and revoke your access to the Chirpy website. If we terminate your account for a code of conduct breach, you will not receive a refund of your membership fees.
Remember, you get out of Chirpy what you put into it. Take part! Log in regularly to see what’s happening near you. Be sure to let your friends know about Chirpy – the larger our community grows, the better it becomes for everyone.
Thank you for being a Chirpy member. If you have any questions about this code of conduct, please contact support@chirpyplus.com
