How to manage your Chirpy account: Change email address & notifications, change payment method, and cancel subscription
1: Changing email, payment method and viewing billing history
To check your subscription details as well as changing important profile details, follow these steps:
Go to MENU on top right:
Click on the text saying "account":
Click on "Manage my subscription"
You will then see details of your subscription plan, plus these options:
Click on "Account Information" to change your name and email details. Note that if you change your email address, you will automatically be sent the 3 "welcome to Chirpy" emails. Please ignore those.
Click on "Payment Methods" to change your card details or add a new card.
Click on "Billing History" to see your payment History.
And do not forget to press the SAVE button.
2: Changing email notification preferences
To change your email notifications, press the button right above it that says "Manage my notifications":
Once there, you will see all the email options for your various activities. To change specific emails, press the "Advanced" button on the right side of certain settings that will allow you to enable or disable the instant email and instead send it to the daily digest once a day, if you feel you are receiving too many emails.
The options will also list all groups you are in, if you want to disable certain group emails.
3: Cancelling or changing your Chirpy Plus subscription
If you would like to cancel your subscription to Chirpy Plus, go to the Cancel my subscription option at the bottom:
Through that page, you will see your current billing period and your subscription. Below the subscription details, you will find three options that you can select to either cancel your subscription or look for a better value option:
Once there, select the option you wish and press the button below the options to submit your choice.
